Frequently Asked Questions

  • It depends. Whether or not you decide to hire an attorney, we highly encourage you to speak to a qualified immigration attorney for an in-depth consultation about your case. The U.S. immigration system is highly complex and subject to frequent changes. A skilled immigration attorney will assess your unique situation and help you navigate these legal complexities appropriately, minimizing the risk of errors, delays, and even deportation.

Filling out a form may seem simple, but, if done incorrectly, it can lead to serious unwanted consequences. For example, any time a form is filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the noncitizen’s immigration history—and all previously filed forms—may be assessed. Inconsistencies in the record can lead to delays and denials. A skilled attorney can help you avoid these pitfalls.

Furthermore, an immigration attorney will provide personalized strategies to help you achieve your immigration goals efficiently and effectively.

  • We charge $100 for a one-hour initial consultation.

Prior to the initial consultation, you will complete a brief questionnaire to tell us about your particular situation and immigration goals. If your needs are outside the scope of our practice, we will let you know – and refund any fee – because we do not want to waste anyone’s time or money.

During the consultation, we will discuss your circumstances and answer questions.  We will analyze the facts of your situation, in relation to relevant laws and the current immigration landscape, to give an honest assessment of your case.

  • We charge flat fees for most immigration matters.

The flat fee for your case will be discussed during your initial consultation. You may pay the flat fee in one lump sum, at the start of the case, or in two to four installments at predetermined milestones.

If the particulars of your case change during representation such that the legal work required is beyond the scope of the initial agreement, you may be billed at an hourly rate. In this event, we would discuss the situation with you and obtain your consent before continuing any additional legal work.
